Yes! With Premium, you can use the Schedule Builder to create completely custom schedules. Adjust work block lengths, rest durations, number of blocks per set—whatever works for your workflow. You can save your custom schedules and even share them with friends.

No account required to use the timer—just open the app and start focusing immediately. However, creating an account with Google sign-in is required to save your progress, access cloud sync, social features, and Premium customization.

Not yet, but it's in the works! Right now GCRC is web-based and works best on desktop or laptop. A native mobile app is currently in development—sign up with an account to be notified when it launches.

Pomodoro uses fixed 25-minute work blocks with fixed 5-minute breaks. GCRC is built on cognitive science: it starts with a shorter 15-minute block to lower the activation energy for starting, then uses 30-minute work blocks with graduated rest periods (5 → 10 → 15 minutes) that increase as mental fatigue accumulates. The 3:1 work-rest ratio matches what research shows elite performers naturally gravitate toward.

The hardest part of work is often just starting—especially for people with ADHD or chronic procrastination. A 15-minute commitment feels less daunting than 30 minutes, lowering the psychological barrier to beginning. You'll only encounter this shorter block twice: at the very start of your day, and again at set 4 after your longest break—when you need that gentle re-entry. All other work blocks are 30 minutes.
